Garlicky white bean hummus 'dip' on pizza with fresh tomatoes and basil. This 'dip' is my family's absolute favourite and we eat it on everything!

Ingredients
  • For the White Bean Hummus:
  • 1 can white beans rinsed and drained or 1½ cups of cooked/ drained small white beans
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 garlic clove, pressed
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp freshly ground pepper
  • The Rest:
  • 2-3 tomatoes diced
  • ⅓ cup fresh chopped basil
  • Pizza crust
Instructions
  1. Add your cooked or canned beans, oil, lemon juice, garlic, salt and pepper to food processor and blend until smooth.
  2. Remove with a spatula and place in serving bowl.
  3. Chop tomatoes and basil and place in individual serving bowls.
  4. Cook pizza crust following package directions shortening by 3-4 minutes as the crust cooks quickly with no toppings on it.
  5. Remove from oven.
  6. Cut into slices and serve onto individual plates.
  7. Smear each slice with bean mixture, and sprinkle with basil and tomatoes.
