Hey! I’m Tara. I created this site for all those interested in a plant based diet, who just don’t know where to start or what the heck to eat. When my family first embarked on our plant based journey a few years back, I often found myself at a complete loss as to how to even make a sandwich (no cheese?!) let alone put together a meal. For every great recipe there are probably ten times as many awful ones. I stumbled through my fair share of these awful recipes during our transition (some so completely inedible they ended up straight in our compost pile) and I’m hoping I can save you from the same trouble. With a bit of time, I’ve amassed this great collection of fantastic, truly delicious recipes that I am repeatedly asked for and am excited to share here with you now.
During my quest for delicious recipes that were truly worthy of friends, family and company, I literally bought, borrowed and read every vegan/ plant based cookbook I could get my hands on. Coming from a family that’s equally obsessed with great tasting food, this search for scrumptious food has been an ongoing passion of mine for many years. I’ve learned a lot and honestly cooking vegan food and experimenting with new foods and flavours has become second nature to me. I have spent countless hours trying many, many new recipes, creating my own, and ‘veganizing’ many of our old favourites.
