We bulk buy a LOT of blueberries every summer to freeze for the year’s smoothies. My boys won’t drink a smoothie that’s any shade of green (or worse brown) so this is a necessary ingredient to make them look purple and palatable.
Growing kale in a large planter on our back deck means it’s always fresh and we never run out. This is seriously the easiest thing to grow and it absolutely thrives all year in our west coast weather.
Add your plant based milk, kale (or other greens), frozen mango, blueberries and bananas to your blender. A Vitamix will give you the smooth, lump free consistency you are looking for.
Add your flax and hemp seeds.Blend until smooth. Nutrient packed and a great way to start the day!
